Beauty: The Bottom Line

Hello readers!

It’s a new year and time for new blog posts!
I thought I’d start the new blog posts off with something very true and dear to my heart.

Beauty comes from within. If you feel beautiful, you look beautiful.

The first step in great makeup is feeling beautiful about yourself. As women we are often very critical about ourselves. We are our own worst critics and judges. We often find it hard to accept the good characteristics in the way we look. We often dwell on the negatives, “my eyelids are so hooded” “my nose is too pointy” “my jaw is so square” “my cheeks are too fat”. We should be focusing on the good points in our characteristics.

You can’t expect to look like Kim K when her facial structure is completely different then yours. Don’t focus on the things you wish you had, focus on what you do have.

Look at your characteristics objectively so you can understand your facial features better and accept the points that are truly good. Start with good. Enhance. Feel beautiful. There will always be things you don’t find beautiful, things you don’t like. You have to look past the characteristics and flaws you dislike. Focus next on something that you don’t mind. Maybe you don’t like your pointed nose, but find your smile pretty. Why not focus on some lipsticks? Enhance your lips. Make them stand out. It helps you focus on one feature.

Once you’ve learned to look pass the flaws and see the good in the beautiful characteristics you can learn to enhance them more and make them your focal points by using makeup.

Pick one area and make it ‘you’. Own it.

Stay beautiful inside and out readers.
Focus on the real you.
